  • Each report includes a cardiac treatment plan and anesthetic recommendations.

  • We ask you to fast your pet in case sedation is needed... but we rarely use it.  And when we do, only cardiac safe drugs are used.

What to Expect


Cardiac Ultrasound (Echocardiography) is a painless and harmless procedure which uses sound waves to create still and moving images of your pet's heart.   These images allow the veterinary cardiologist to evaluate the structure and function of the heart.  For accurate imaging we will shave your pet's chest from armpit to armpit, and in most cases the whole procedure will last about 30 minutes.
